I am sorry to say that since starting on our edible gardening venture I have ignored the long established hibiscus plants that were here when we bought the property. It is only after watching our newly adopted greyhound eating all the flowers that I have thought about the plants as being edible, as well as beautiful. I certainly need to do a lot more research into the benefits of having Hibiscus in our garden, and am very grateful that we do.
