It is not often that the driveway is empty but today I took the chance to take a photo of the herb spirals and the various extensions as it was. These were originally built out of recycled pavers to cover the ugly and heat retaining cement slabs between the driveway and the all. They have been exceedingly successful even though the temperature in this are gets to over 52 degrees Celsius regularly. Instead of slabs of heat producing concrete we have food producing areas that we are currently harvesting tomatoes, herbs and strawberries from.
