Get Up! and Doctors For Refugees

We are members of Get Up! as we support their actions and efforts to promote social justice, economic fairness and environmental sustainability in Australia.
Their latest campaign is to support  the Doctors for Refugees and the Fitzroy Legal Service who are filing a case in the High Court to contest the Border Force Act.The  intention of the Act, is to silence the voice of anyone willing to speak out against the Government's detention regime, including medical professionals. This Act attempts to gag and intimidate those entrusted to care and advocate for their patients and people are coming together to fight for the right to report abuse of refugees and asylum seekers in these facilities.
