Harvested Today
This morning we have been into the garden and picked some items, 7 kilos actually, including pumpkin, apples, pears, chillies, passion-fruit and chokoes. Missing from the photos is the kale, tomatoes and chives that we have already eaten.
The passionfruit and choko vines are covered in flowers and fruit and we have another 9 pumpkins to pick over the next few weeks. As well there is approximately another 50 apples on various trees, although only two more pears. It gives us great pleasure to be able to pick and grow some of our own food and the range and volume continues to grow. We use no chemicals and try and use as many permaculture methods as we can, this is kinder to the earth and all of the wildlife and respects the eco-systems as well.
