Sadly, we live in a world where some commit/enable/encourage dreadful crimes against others and every day there are people dying, suffering, afraid and grieving because of this. The importance of acting on good scientific research to save lives cannot be understated. Nor can the funding of scientific research for the good of the people and the planet over that which harms.

World Oceans Day

Sadly, we live in a world where some commit/enable/encourage dreadful crimes against others and every day there are people dying, suffering, afraid and grieving because of this.  However there are others who work tirelessly to improve the world for all of us. It is World Oceans Day on June 8th and a reminder about the beautiful oceans of this world that we share. There are other people who work to improve the world either through their service to others or the environment, World Environment Day is an example of one such initiative.

"Connecting People to Nature’, the theme for World Environment Day 2017, implores us to get outdoors and into nature, to appreciate its beauty and its importance, and to take forward the call to protect the Earth that we share.
World Environment Day is the biggest annual event for positive environmental action and takes place every 5 June. This year’s host country Canada got to choose the theme and will be at the centre of celebrations around the planet". For more information and to join in too you can click on this link.
