The people of Portland are also struggling with the aftermath of senseless violence and hate in their community. Once again young people were targeted as they were going about their daily business in what can only be described as indefensible bullying and racism. When Destinee and her friend were abused and threatened three other Portlanders went to their aid and were then attacked by the offender. Tragically, Ricky Best and Taliesin Namkai-Meche were murdered and Micah Fletcher was seriously injured and for everyone involved, and their families and friends, their lives have been changed for the worst, forever.
