It has been just over 3 months since we started transforming a huge hole dug by our rescued greyhound, Danny, into a semi- tropical grove. Since then we have eaten or frozen the 75 bananas that came from our very first hand of bananas that inspired this transformation. We have created a frog pond from the old fridge, started a hugelkultur bed and dumped barrows and barrows of free mulch into the area. All of the plants are looking great, including the seeds that we planted in the hugelkultur bed.
Poor Danny is concerned that we are going to fill in his next carefully dug hole and he leaps into it protectively whenever we get a spade and wheelbarrow out!
