Empoweraid - Realising Potential in Bangladesh, Timor Leste and The Kimberly

Source

I work with some amazing people who not only work tirelessly teaching and training but in their spare time run/volunteer at a non-profit organization called Empoweraid. Not only do they run their skills training programs in Bangladesh, but now also work in Timore Leste and have long worked with Indigenous communities here in Western Australia.  For more information you can click on this link.

They are inspirational and this extract from their latest newsletter highlights why they have been so successful:-

Sagar Barman - Time for Change and Justice

So many children in this world are dying needlessly due to starvation, war, neglect and abuse it is truly heartbreaking. With great sorrow I am sharing the story of the murder and torture of Sagar Barman in the hope that those who perpetrated such a deed will be brought to justice. As a mother I can only imagine the heartbreak for this family and am incredibly saddened that so many children around the world are still suffering at the hands of those who should be protecting them. It is time that all of the children of the world be able to live in safety, stability and  peace and have the opportunity to fulfill their unique potential. To support the appeal for justice for Sagar Barman, and other children like him, you can sign a petition to do so please click on this link.
