We have just ordered our first kit and are really looking forward to starting to grow our own mushrooms that also use a waste product. This has also reminded me that the 2000 plus kilos of coffee grounds that I have collected from the canteen has made a difference to the environment.

Portobello Mushrooms

We have bought a mushroom growing kit for Portobello mushrooms and are really pleased with the number produced so far. So far we have harvested about 500 grams, we will keep track and see how much we harvest overall. I have now found some really interesting sites about growing mushrooms too.
