We have just ordered our first kit and are really looking forward to starting to grow our own mushrooms that also use a waste product. This has also reminded me that the 2000 plus kilos of coffee grounds that I have collected from the canteen has made a difference to the environment.

 We had read about the benefits of collecting coffee grounds and adding them to compost at the Coffee Grounds to Ground site. And have now made arrangements with a school canteen to collect grounds on a weekly basis.

 The ladies at the canteen have been very helpful and even gave me an old bucket to swap with the one that I dropped off. I have been doing this for about 2 months now and the amount of grounds has grown.

There are lots of uses, but at this stage I am adding ours to the compost bins that sit in the fromt vegetable garden.
