Self determination - UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

It is deeply saddening that the Indigenous People of Australia are still facing so many challenges and difficulties in our society today. Human rights are for everyone, around the world, irrespective of race, religion, gender, sexuality, age, ability...or any of the other myriad ways that humans stereotype and discriminate against others who are not just like them. If we want a future where everyone can live fully and fulfill their unique potential then this type of behaviour must end. The Declarations of Human Rights by the UN create a guide for 'best practice' for everyone, it is time that Governments/Corporations and Peoples around the world abided by them and made the world a better place for everyone.

Human Rights Day 2016

A sombre message from Zeid Ra’ad Al Hussein – UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, about the challenges that are evident around the world where human rights abuses are taking place. There are many, many people around the world working towards a more respectful world for us all. As well  there are many ways that we can all reaffirm our belief in humanity by supporting such organizations and working together.
