Joy of Juicing

We bought bags of locally produced, organic fruit at a farmer's market, including the pineapple above, and had great fun chopping them up and putting them through our juicer. We also planted the top of the pineapple and hope it will take root and grow.

We bought this hand juicer from Green Harvest and are really happy with it. The pulp at this side went straight  into the worm farm, we ate the pulp in the basket with yoghurt, delicious.

It is a very simple and quiet way to juice items, though much better with oranges and apples than celery.

Here is the final product, it tasted so fresh and delicate, so we had fun making it as well as drinking it.

  1. I'm glad I found this post - I have been thinking about buying the Green Harvest juicer, but am a little unsure whether it would handle family sized requirements for daily apple juice. What do you reckon?

  2. Thanks for asking, but I think it would probably not be ideal for your requirements.
